When Clara vanishes after the puppeteer Grisini and two orphaned assistants were at her twelfth birthday party, suspicion of kidnapping chases the trio away from London and soon the two orphans are caught in a trap set by Grisini’s ancient rival, a witch with a deadly inheritance to shed before it is too late.

With a little witch and magic flavor in it, this book is about three children, a witch and a master puppeteer. I did not like this book because sometimes it was very exciting and most times it just seemed to DRRRAAAGGG along too much. I don’t suggest reading this book because it was lacking small conflicts. She didn’t keep the entire book moving with excitement.
