The OPLbery Club met today and had some very lively discussions on a number of books. Here’s what they thought about the books they read:

James is reading Cold Cereal, and he likes it so far. He said  it is a “science fiction twist on realistic fiction.

Maggie read Applewhites at Wit’s End, a book that “makes you crack up, and you can’t stop.” She also read The Invisible Tower, a “wild adventure: hilarious, interesting, and a page turner.”

Kevin read The Invisible Tower, too. Although it took him a little while to get into the story, he said “the middle and end were fun.”

Elliot read The Amazing Adventures of John Smith, Jr., aka Houdini. He thought it was “interesting and surprising.”

Eric read Winterling and Bliss. Winterling was “very suspenseful” and “OPLbery-worthy.” Bliss was “awesome.” It has “mystery and fantasy” and “mayhem happens.”

Brandon and Lara also read Bliss. Brandon thought it was “extraordinary” and “moved at a good pace.” Lara said you “catch onto it right as you start reading it.”

Lara also read Three Times Lucky, which was “really good.” It was “unique, not your usual book.”

Ania is reading The Cabinet of Earths. She’s not sure if she wants to finish it.

Elena read Wonder, which she thought was “really good.” She like the “many perspectives” the story is told from.
